Today can only be described as splendid. Wall to wall blue sky and glorious autumn colourings. And the Caravan Park at Cross Hall Farm was looking good. We put up a few Autumn photos a week or two ago but the colours have developed even more now, and against a clear blue sky they’re just great.
On the farm you might describe this solid young man as a “gentleman in waiting”. If he could talk I guess he’d saying, “Come on Bob. Where are my ladies? It’s well into Autumn and if there are to be any Spring lambs you need me …”.
As we often point out, although Cautley is in the county of Cumbria it is also in the Yorkshire Dales National Park. Arriving at the top of the Rawthey valley (two or three miles up the road from the caravan park) this was the view today from just inside the national park boundary. Splendid? Or splendid?
