Cumbria – Lake District County
Before 1974 Cumbria as a county did not exist and the Lake District was split between Cumberland, Westmorland and Lancashire. Now, however, the National Park is all in the one county. Having said that, Cumbria has much more to offer than the Lakes. The Eden Valley is very close to us at Cross Hall Farm while Carlisle, the Solway Coast and the Furness Peninsula are easily reachable.
